The Ronen® Square Nut Optical Sorting Machine, designed to meet the high standards of manufacturers, uses cameras to inspect square nuts.It can detect defects such as cracked corners of the nuts or deformed threads, and separate them. It will automatically sort the qualified nuts into one sorting box and the unqualified nuts into another sorting box.

The square nut optical sorting machine is a special sorting equipment designed for square nuts. It core solves two key needs: First, through optical recognition technology, it accurately captures the square structure, edge and corner contours and other features of square nuts, and quickly separates square nuts from mixed fasteners such as bolts, round nuts, and washers to avoid confusion of similar parts; second, for the separated square nuts, it tests key attributes such as size (such as side length, diagonal distance), thickness, and thread size (such as pitch, nominal diameter), and organizes mixed batches of square nuts into groups with uniform specifications, providing standardized materials for subsequent warehousing and assembly links. The entire process relies on optical technology to achieve efficient and accurate sorting.
The square nut optical sorting machine employs a vibrating bowl-type feeder and is equipped with custom tracks and directional tools. These tools have been meticulously designed to securely position each square nut, usually with one side flat downwards, allowing the camera to obtain consistent top-down views, thereby enabling precise measurement.
In addition to size classification, the machine can also identify and remove defective parts. The visual system can detect common defects such as corner damage, cracks, missing threads (for pre-tapped nuts), severe rust, or incorrect chamfers. This quality control feature ensures that only qualified nuts can enter the packaging.
