The working process of the Square Hex Nut Tapping Machine is quite simple. Place the square or hexagonal nut blanks into the feeding port. The machine will automatically adjust the position of the blanks, and then the tap will align with the hole in the middle of the blank and rotate to thread it.
The Square Hex Nut Tapping Machine can cut internal threads into pre-formed square hexagonal nuts. It uses a rotating tap to automatically complete the tapping process, creating internal threads, allowing the nuts to be screwed onto bolts. This machine is specifically designed to handle the different clamping requirements during the tapping process of square hexagonal nuts.
The Square Hex Nut Tapping Machine accepts cold-forged and perforated (punched) square or hexagonal nuts. Vibratory feeders or linear conveyors are usually used to accurately feed and position these nuts. The equipment must reliably align the holes of each nut with the tapping holes to accommodate the different angular configurations of square and hexagonal nuts.
The machine drives the rotating tap to pass downward through the pre-drilled holes of the nut. The motor provides the power, usually with sufficient torque being supplied through a gearbox. Once the tap reaches the desired depth (for standard nuts, it usually goes all the way through), the main shaft will automatically reverse and withdraw the tap from the newly cut thread.
