The Automatic Rod Threading Machine is specifically designed for processing external threads on metal rods. It can process rod materials with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several tens of millimeters. They can be either ordinary coarse-thread or fine-thread, or special threads.
The Automatic Rod Threading Machine does not require manual operation. It can cut external threads at the ends of metal rods or metal strips. It automatically feeds the long rods, positions them, uses rotating molds to cut the threads, and ejects the finished products. This automated system can achieve continuous and large-scale production of threaded rods, studs, or pipe ends.
The Automatic Rod Threading Machine usually uses self-opening die heads. The rotating die heads close around the fixed or slowly rotating rod end. As the die heads rotate, they move along the length of the rod, cutting the thread profile by removing metal chips. After the thread length is completed, the die heads automatically open, causing the rod to retract or pop out.
