The Ronen® fastener cold heading machine can handle common metals such as steel and aluminum with ease. The excessive waste generated during the processing of metal parts is minimal, thus saving material costs. It is durable and the components can meet the daily usage requirements.
Our machine, like ordinary fastener cold heading machines, is a piece of equipment that processes the head of a part by extruding metal wire through a mold at room temperature. The motor is of energy-saving type and consumes less electricity during operation.
The fastener cold heading machine performs the initial forging step in the production of fasteners. It uses the cut wire blanks and applies high pressure at one end to form the basic head shape. This "blank" is not the final fastener; it is an intermediate shape that requires further processing (trimming, finishing, tapping) on a secondary processing machine.
The machine takes precisely cut wire rods ("blank materials") as its input. These blanks are usually automatically fed into the machine through a hopper or a conveying system. The machine itself only focuses on the shaping of the head; it does not handle the unwinding or cutting of the wire rods. In the first stage of forging, consistent blank dimensions are crucial for the shaping of the head.
Inside the fastener cold heading machine, the cut blanks are placed in the die cavity. The powerful punch head drives the punch to impact the end of the blank. The immense pressure forces the metal to flow and be extruded (bulge outward), filling the die cavity and forming a simple initial head shape. This cold heading process is carried out at room temperature.
The fastener cold heading machine has very distinctive features. Its motor is of variable frequency type. It doesn't need to operate at full capacity all the time. When processing parts of different specifications, it can automatically adjust the speed, thus saving more electricity. The material used for the body is more solid, but it is designed to be lightweight. It occupies about the same space as ordinary machines and won't occupy more workshop space.
