The Cold Forging 3 Station Bolt Former Machine uses the cold extrusion method to gradually transform the metal wire into bolt blanks through three different stations. The three workstations had clearly defined responsibilities, and the final product was a bolt blank with a complete head.
The Cold Forging 3 Station Bolt Former Machine is a multi-station cold forging machine that forms bolt heads through three consecutive processes. The cut wire blanks are conveyed to three different molds. At each station, the punch strikes the blank, gradually forging the metal and eventually forming a complete bolt head. Compared to machines with fewer stations, this can form more complex bolt head geometries.
First, feed the wire from the coil into the Cold Forging 3 Station Bolt Former Machine. The wire passes through the straightening device to ensure it is completely straight. Then, it is cut into blanks of specific lengths by the shearing machine. The consistency of the blanks is of utmost importance as it can provide the precise amount of metal required for the three forming stages.
At the first station of the Machine, the cut blanks are pressed by the punch. The initial upsetting process begins here, gathering the metal at one end of the blank to form a basic, rough pre-formed shape. This stage prepares for the more precise shaping in the subsequent stations.
