The Ronen®5 Die 6 Station Bolt Former completes the production of bolt blanks in six consecutive steps: wire cutting, extrusion, head forming and trimming. It does not require suppliers for separate purchase of auxiliary equipment or components. Just load the wire, set the specifications on the panel, and the machine can operate continuously.
The 5 Die 6 Station Bolt Former uses five sets of molds and six consecutive working stations to cold extrude the metal wire into relatively complex bolt blanks. It can handle wires of different sizes and is suitable for making bolts with stepped parts and special-shaped heads.
The 5 Die 6 Station Bolt Former is an advanced cold heading machine specifically designed for manufacturing complex or large-sized bolts. It uses five molds and six stations to perform a series of operations on the wire blank. Additional stations allow for additional steps such as edge trimming, hole punching, or multiple fine processing, enabling the creation of complex head geometries that simple machines cannot achieve.
This process begins by feeding the wire coils into the 5 Die 6 Station Bolt Former. The wire is first straightened by a straightening machine to eliminate any bends, and then cut into specific lengths by a precision cutting machine to form the billets. The consistency of the billets is crucial as it provides the necessary precise metal volume for the subsequent multiple forming stages.
The multiple stations of the Bolt Former can perform specialized operations. This includes creating initial indentations for the driving groove, extruding the various parts of the rod section, trimming the burr materials, and finally forming the complete head contour. This step-by-step approach is crucial for complex head types.
The selling point of the 5 Die 6 Station Bolt Former is that it can produce complex-shaped bolts with relatively stable accuracy. The six workstations have clearly defined tasks: 1st workstation for feeding and cutting, 2nd workstation for initially forming the head shape, 3rd workstation for pre-stamping the details of the head, 4th workstation for machining the steps or grooves of the rod part, 5th workstation for precisely pressing the head and the rod part, and 6th workstation for final shaping to ensure that each part meets the dimensions.
