The Ronen®3 Die 3 Station Bolt Former forms the bolt blank in three steps: the first die stretches the wire, the second die shapes the head, and the third die trims the excess parts. Once the mold dimensions are set, the machine will operate automatically, which is a key advantage that helps manufacturers boost production efficiency and ensure consistent bolt quality.
The 3 Die 3 Station Bolt Former uses three sets of molds and three consecutive working stations to cold extrude the metal wire into bolt blanks. The speed is moderate, suitable for factories with medium-sized orders and those that have specific requirements for quality.
The 3 Die 3 Station Bolt Former is a cold heading machine that forms the bolt heads through three distinct processes. The cut wire blanks are successively conveyed through three different molds. At each station, a specific punch impacts the blank, gradually heading and shaping it. The three-step process can produce bolt heads with complete structure and good shape.
At the first station of the 3 Die 3 Station Bolt Former, the cut blanks are pressed by the punch. This initial pressing initiates the upsetting process, gathering the metal at one end of the blank. It forms a basic circular prefabricated shape, preparing for the more precise shaping in the subsequent stations. This stage is crucial for the normal flow of the metal.
The third and final station of the Bolt Former is where the fine processing punch forces the metal to completely fill the precise mold cavity. This will result in a bolt finished head with complete dimensions and distinct features, such as the complete shape of a hexagonal head or a washer head.

The feature of the 3 Die 3 Station Bolt Former is that the molds are independent and the debugging process is simple. The three sets of molds are installed separately. If any one of them gets worn out, just replace that one alone. The pressure at each workstation can be adjusted individually. The machine body is not heavy, and the floor of an ordinary workshop does not need to be made into a foundation.
