The working principle of the double stroke head forging machine is to process one end of the metal bar stock or wire into the desired head shape through two consecutive stamping strokes. The power system provides the energy required for the machine to operate. The transmission mechanism transmits the power to the mold system, which is responsible for the shaping and processing of metal materials. The control system can precisely control the force, speed and stroke of the stamping process, ensuring the processing accuracy.
Our machine performs two different forging operations at each station. After the cut blanks are initially fed into the mold, the first pressurization step is carried out for the initial shaping operation, such as starting to form the head shape. The blank remains in the same mold cavity, and then the second pressurization step is performed again for the impact. The second pressurization completes the head shaping, achieving a more complex or more precise shape than that obtained from a single pressurization.
The double stroke head forging machine applies a relatively large force to the cut wire blanks in the same mold setting twice in succession. The first stroke will compress a large amount of metal, initiating the formation of the head. The second stroke will refine the shape, completely fill the mold cavity, improve the dimensional accuracy, and can create sharper features or specific chamfers that require continuous deformation.
The main selling point of the Double Stoke Head Forging Machine is its high efficiency. The two stamping strokes can complete the head shaping within a short period of time, which is much faster than the single-stroke machine. Moreover, the processing accuracy is high. The two stamping strokes can make the head shape more regular and the size more accurate. You can produce heads of different shapes and specifications by changing the molds to meet various production needs.
